- Abstract
- In this paper is proposed a solution the problem of testing intrusion detection systems, by the network traffic was generated based on its model. Also noted the main stages of playback generated network traffic. The author introduced concept the capture point of network traffic as the location of computer network attack detect sensor in a protected network. In the paper suggests method for forming the values of parameters characterizing the transmission channel: the channel transmission delay, bandwidth and frequency of losses. Also, here showed a result of the comparison the traffic generated on the basis of network performance in real operating networks, and the traffic recorded in the real transmission channel.
