- Abstract
- In this paper basic speech databases designed to support research in speaker recognition and related areas are considered. Each database has its own design features that make it more suitable for certain types of research and technology development. Brief description of common speech databases, their properties and characteristics is presented. We also present advantages and disadvantages of each dataset for research and development in the areas of speaker identification/verification and automated speech recognition.
