- Abstract
- A method is proposed for improving traditional approaches to information security risk assessment, focusing on maintaining the survivability of the information system. The conditions for ensuring survivability, based on an acceptable level of risk, are analyzed. A risk assessment model is proposed, based on the damage caused by information attacks, along with analytical expressions describing the possible behavior of the information system within the domain of acceptable states. A step-by-step implementation sequence of the proposed method is presented.
