- Abstract
- The use of the risk matrix for making qualitative decisions on the choice of the best (of existing) information protection measures is proposed. The possibility of designing a selection matrix of human biometric characteristics for the formation of a sustainable system of access control to information resources is confirmed. The objectivity of introducing into the information security system the mechanism of calculating the risks of ensuring the sustainability of the biometric system operation by the risk matrix with a high selection coefficient has been proved. Decision-making algorithm for assessing the functional stability of the information system taking into account the weight coefficient of probability characteristics of unauthorized actions and biometric user identifiers is developed. In order to optimize the system of measures to counteract attempts to commit illegal manipulations within the boundaries of the information object, an organizational scheme of the process of selecting countermeasure options has been developed. The matrix of correspondence between types of information attacks and variants of combinations of biometric characteristics of a person, formed in this way, is proposed to be integrated into the author's mixture of access control to information resources. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is confirmed by the results of calculations using the method of multilink representation of the choice of combinations of human biometric characteristics at full balancing of the functioning of the matrix.
