- Abstract
- Registration, collection and storage of security event data are important components of information security controls. Incorrect estimation of the amount of information about security events in bytes does not allow to correctly determine the characteristics of a data storage subsystem and to comply with regulatory requirements for the period of storage. The results of research of the amount of information about security events for typical event sources and the method of evaluation average data size, which will improve the efficiency of data storage in Security Operations Centers (SOC), are represented in this publication.
