- Abstract
- This article discusses the principles of detection of leaks and breakouts of steam on local and extended objects with different control area using a new type of detectors-sorption cable sensors. Disadvantages of traditional sensors associated with the mechanism of their operation in the accumulation of liquid and restrictions of placement are shown. Sorption cable sensors of water and hydrocarbon leaks, steam breakouts, due to high sensitivity allow monitoring of leaks and steam breakouts in the 3D space of local and extended objects and open up new opportunities in reducing the time of detection of emergency events and taking timely measures to prevent the development of damage.
