- Abstract
- Examined physical and mechanical properties of polymer composites (WPC) based on recycled polypropylene (PP) filled with wood flour and rice husk. Polymer composites based on recycled PP, filled with up to 30 % rice husks are characterized by lower values of torque in the mixing chamber of plastograph (greater fluidity), elongation at break and moisture absorption. The possibility of production of products from recycled PP filled depending on the thickness of the molded structure of the rice husk to 45-50 %, by a molding method under pressure. It is noted that the injection pressure during casting of the composites based on recycled PP does not exceed 10-15 % is similar to the pressure in the processing virgin polymer.
