- Abstract
- The method of manufacturing of gas-filled metal-ceramic spark gap - sharpener is described involving manufacturing a metal housing in the form of a hollow cylinder with a flange, assembling of metal-ceramic assembly which include an insulator in the form of a hollow truncated cone, the larger base of which is connected by the end junction with the cuff, connected to the adapter ring by means of covering junction, and on a smaller basis there is a screen with the electrode, the output of which passes inside the hollow insulator along its axis, soldering metal-ceramic assemblage, placing the metal-ceramic assemblage inside the housing up to the stop with the flange, connecting the housing with adapter ring by their outer edges, manufacturing and connecting to the body of the electrode assembly with a second electrode with a difference from the known method only by the following: when soldering the metal-ceramic assembly after raising temperature at a rate not exceeding 15 degrees per minute to the melting point of the solder, the soldering temperature is further raised by 20-80 degrees at 15-45 degrees per minute and then a pause is made, provided that additional temperature rise and the pause are being performed within 5-12 minutes, after which the temperature is lowered to normal at a rate not greater than 7 degrees per minute. The higher temperature of soldering than the temperature of solder melting point for 20-80 degrees with its rise of 15-45 degrees per minute and the selected time of pause in soldering within 5-12 minutes provides the high-quality soldering of ceramic-metal assembly of the spark gap - sharpener due to better wettability of surfaces being soldered, faster spreading of the solder and maintaining capillary filling in the front seam between the insulator and a cuff.
