- Abstract
- Access control systems (including those restricting physical access to protected zones and access to computer resources) based on radio frequency identification devices (RFID) are widely used for unauthorized access protection. At present, there is a variety of RFID tags, from simple ones containing serial numbers only, to smart tags providing strong authentication. Such devices, including RFID readers, may impose different specific requirements to be included as a part of access control systems. This article describes a possible approach to development of RFID reader for access control systems.
