- Abstract
- The urgency of addressing issues of vulnerability assessment and threats to critical systems are fully applicable to the National Payment System (NPS) of the Russian Federation, especially in view of the known incidents of Visa and MasterCard blocking in March 2014. In the analysis of vulnerabilities and threats are usually applied sufficiently well-known methodological framework - international standards ISO 27000 and, in some cases, the Bank of Russia STO BR IBBS standards. However, the application for the NPC analysis the Bank of Russia standards only is limited - because STO BR IBBS considers only industry risks violations of information security, and subject composition NPS is much wider. In this study, firstly, has been considered a modern regulatory framework set IBBS (version 2014), and secondly, we show the practical application of modern ISO 27000 standards, significantly extending the possibility of assessing vulnerabilities and threats to information security with respect to the NPC, and along with recommendations for mitigation (parry) NPC similar threats in the future.
