- Abstract
- In theory, the article analyzes thermocouple and pyrometer measurement methods of discharge lamp envelopes temperature. Proposed and justified method of thermal imaging temperature measurement of the heated sapphire in the spectral range of 7.5-4 microns. Given studies results of thermal fields for the main types of discharge lamps with sapphire envelope, given recommendations for the design of IR radiation sources used as the radiating element in aircraft protection systems against guided missiles.
