- Abstract
- The progress of remote electronic interactions and the transition to cloud computing enhance the role of automatic identification and authentication of participants in the information exchange. The classification of authentication processes according to goals, objectives, technologies used and types of information systems is suggested. The significance of authentication in security services such as provision of secure access, establishment of confidence in electronic interactions, use of electronic signature is shown.
